Connie,

rereading the list of guests at Tary's memorial, i dint
see Karen's. Was she there?

It makes one think of what she might have been thinking:

should I bring Hector Lujan?

and she might have thought: no more Hector at reunions.

Hector was something else at Dave M's party; you were 
there, did you see him sit down on the cooler and break 
it?

He really is kinda wonderful in his own alcoholized
way: i saw him take a girl child's hand and give her
a palm reading and tell the absolutely enthralled little 
girl (with a straight face, mind you) "you know things 
that are completely inaccessible to me".

on the other hand i could see the charm of it from his
side, the little girl was sorta like Lolita and Hector
is good looking and in fantastically good physical shape 
-- he keeps a 21 foot sailboat at the Austin Yacht 
Club

so was Karen there?
