Tary had music --- a CD/cassette player and his old guitar --- in his
room [in the Hospice in Houston]..
He also had a CD recording of the KUT tribute by Larry Monroe that aired
Monday ,Sept 8. Most of it is the music that he recorded --- Ghost and
T.D. Bell and Long John Hunter, et al. When I last saw him, last Sunday,
he wanted us to listen to it; but it was hard to understand exactly what
he wanted us to do. We skipped through a lot of the music, stopped at
the spoken tribute, which everyone insisted on hearing; but he wasn't
satisfied until we finally got to the last cut ... Tary singing "Ragged
but Right" on the Redemptors CD.
That was his song.
