In the NYTimes obituary her manager refused to identify where
she died for some reason or other. The obit in Le Monde said
she died at Carry-le-Rouet (Bouches-du-Rhône) which is in
the south of France. The obit in Le Monde is EXTREMELY detailed
and goes on for pages about her sojourns in Barbados and then
Liberia, Switzerland, France, her boyfriend in Liberia, her
heartbreak over their separation which she said she never got
over, her career, her last public appearance in 2001 and much
more.
