reading David Irving's Hitler's War (926 pages!!!!).
i had always heard he was a kook but he was highly
recommended by John Keegan in a recent book which
is an appreciation of the entire corpus of WW II
writing. Keegan's top recommendation was Chester Wilmot's
Struggle for Europe which is not available locally.
i am confident that Interlibrary Loan will come through
as usual.
Irving's viewpoint is eery. I cant wait to see how
he handles 1945 (being now on page 672 though having
skipped some of the details of Eastern front loses)
