The ideas of economists and political philosophers, both when they are right and when they are wrong, are more powerful than is commonly understood. Indeed the world is ruled by little else. So who is it among us that has that greatness of soul that Bush lacks?

If he is intellectually profoundly incurious and keeps himself high on Jesus and zonked with running and body buffing, his soul's depth is nevertheless above average, considering how low average is. Just a little above average, chokes on pretzels while watching football on the tube.
