Michael-- Very glad to receive the interview with Joe Rowe. 
Thinking about his becoming a Frenchie reminds me of the 
choices I was confronted with back in 1968-- France, Canada, 
or going down to the draft board and hoping for the best 
when my number came up. I decided to go on down to San 
Antonio and talk to them heart to heart about my LSD and 
peyote experiences, many of which were very mind-shattering 
and depressing (I kept the good trips to myself). They were 
horrified, and gave me an immediate 4F, so I stuck around 
this country for another thirty-five years and will likely 
die on these shores. Maybe Joe got it right after all.
