Oh Oh-- let's not get into the "publication envy" syndrome.Eisenstadt, I
could put your complete works in my backpocket but that wouldn't make them
any more or less pretentious and boring to read. My textbooks are the best
that money can buy in my field, and for your info my editor makes us keep
the weight down. My latest (weighing in at 250 pages, AddisonWesley Longman
publishers) is on Citizenship since 9/ll, and will be one of the most
radical anthologies at the college comp level. Anyway, in your original post
you were talking about college kids. I think younger kids should either 1)
purchase a better designed pack or 2)not carry the books around so much.
3)Maybe Daddy can give them a ride to school. You certainly can't hold
authors responsible for "kiddie back ache."
