I think the Iraqi Parliament was very brave to vote no on compliance with=
the UN resolution. It had a poison pill in it, it gives the US the righ=
t put US troops in Iraq. It is the beginning of the invasion and I bet i=
t will be over some little thing or some manufactured incident. No count=
ry would ever willing let foreign troops on its soil. The Serbs were giv=
en the same deal right before W.W.I and they refused knowing their refusa=
l would lead to invasion which it did. I hope the Iraqi Parl.'s vote wil=
l give some anxious moments to Bush and company about the Iraqi people su=
pporting our invasion. Bush, Cheney and Rumsfield are just a bunch of bu=
llies wanting to beat up on someone they think they can win easily. They=
believe it will be easy pickens all that nice oil, but I wonder how eas=
y it will be to protect the oil fields from sabotage?
Anyway I hope Mike is right..manichean or no manicheans (i always though=
t they ran around in little feathers with claws on the end?)
am listening to Janos Starker's complete bach complete suites solo cello=

of was very relevant. Those of us with a passable knowledge of world hist=
ory also know that it is common for those who wield the actual power to o=
perate behind the stealth curtain of a puppet figurehead. Consider Cardin=
al Richelieu, Grigori Rasputin, and many other similar examples. In the e=
arly 1990's Dick Cheney and Paul Wolfowitz began to assemble the plan for=
a world of "Pax Americana", a world controlled by imperial might abroad =
and ruthless totalitarianism at home. The inner members of the cabal now =
in control of the government have never veered from this agenda. The busi=
ness about Saddam and Osama is (in my opinion) as transparently meretrici=
ous as the hysterical claims that Hitler made about the Jews and the Comm=
unists in Germany in the early 1930's. The real agenda is total military =
control of the Middle East. Iraq is only the
