Hello, friends. For those of you who knew him, I'm writing this morning to
say that my dad, "Speedy", passed away last evening around 6:30 in his room
at our house. Luella (wonderful, strong Luella, who helped me take care of
Pops) and I sat by his bedside all day yesterday, singing old-time hymns,
talking to him, caressing him, witnessing his transition. His faithful
companion and protectoress, Zoe Marie the Australian shepherd, was, as
always, curled up beside his bed. He was 94. His little, old body was worn
out. "Been worn out", as he said the other day. It was time.

But I will miss him.

Love, and feeling kind of lonesome in Folsom this morning,
Carol
