James-- thanks for the article--I would say it probably captures the deep 
confusion and even self-hatred that many American Muslims feel at this time. 
There are flags and sentiments similar to the ones the Japanese-Americans 
posted on their stores in the early 40s on stores and homes in the large 
Muslim community in Fremont, which is close to where I live. Many Muslims 
around here are really super-patriots, very conservative, pro-business and  
anti-Taliban, yet how can they not feel deeply divided, fightened and 
confused under the present circumstances?
