Barbara Lee has gotten a huge amount of flak for her position, but a few see
her as a hero. An editorial in the moderate, cautious SF Chronicle today
said that the paper's official position was that Barbara Lee was not correct
in her nay vote, yet even the Chron had to give her credit the courage of
her convictions. I'm sure many others in the Congress and Senate felt the
same way she did, but were afraid to buck the tide of outrage.
