Dear friends and colleagues,

The volume and quality of sharing via the internet over these last days had=20
been heartening to me. And there=E2=80=99s enough circulating that I am not=
 taking=20
the time right now to do another compilation. This is one of those cases=20
when I think the overall field is much more important than the particulars.=20=
=20

But something came my way from my dear friend Joan Borysenko that I do want=20
to share. Joanie=E2=80=99s done a nice compilation of inspiring and thought=

articles, prayers and tips for taking care of ourselves. I=E2=80=99ve poste=

There are some excellent reminders for all of us, and it is also a set of=20
information that can be easily passed along to invite folks into questions=20
and reflection on what=E2=80=99s happened to our world.

than anything else, this last week has call forth in me a strong allegiance=20
to this small planet on which we all live.

It feels like, for now, I have moved beyond the numbness and confusion of th=
e=20
last week to a firm place of bearing witness. Bearing witness to the=20
tragedy, to the mobilization of a military response; to the mobilization of=
=20
opposition to that military response. I=E2=80=99m feeling connected to all=20=
of it,=20
without feeling a clear call to act in any way, myself. Except the act of=20
witness, and of being present to what is unfolding.
=20
I continue to deeply feel that the shifts at the =E2=80=9Cfield=E2=80=9D lev=
el. Last week=E2=80=99s=20
attack flung open the door in terms of what is imaginable in terms of hatred=
,=20
destruction and fragmentation=20
=20
And I wonder, what would it take to fling open the door in terms of what is=20
imaginable in terms of connection and wholeness? What would it take to=20
invite global peace in? To be able to imagine it? What would we need to=20
learn that we do not yet know =E2=80=93 or that we don=E2=80=99t know how to=
 accept?
=20
I wonder what it is we are supposed to learn here?
=20
