humanitarian principles will be observed.

i think, jeff, that there were not very many collateral deaths
in Belgrade. most Serbs were very happy to get rid of Milosevic.

the notion of world governance is very attractive, as
far as i can see it would improve civil liberties rather
than degrade them.

the actual location of terrorists like these is in the
badlands. you can roust them out of Detroit and Hoboken
but you cant find them in

1- the Bekaa valley in Lebanon

2- Afghanistan/Pakistan border

i for one am eager to see how this will be attempted.

the Israelis have VERY good intelligence on the ground
in the West Bank so they can terminate perps with minimal
collateral damage. yes, there are little children that
get blown to kingdom come -- or worse survive as cripples
-- but hey, it's a tough neighborhood. and yes, the
Zionists should have opted for some acreage in Canada but
they didnt. What was a relatively empty land in 1880 with
a local Arab population of around 200,000 and local Jews of
around 40,000 is now home to 5 million Jews and 3 million
Arabs.

the Israelis dont put in commandos into the Bekaa valley
although they do bomb it from time to time. the likelihood
of getting Ben Laden seems very slight.

one Afghan villager was reported as saying "Why dont we
just slit his throat and throw the body over the border?"
