Whoops...Dr. Khan got cyberinterrupted.  .

I like him too, but he begs the same question that many do where the Crusades are concerned, which is, why start history there?  Why not with the earlier Muslim invasion of Spain?  Once upon a time the West was more sinned against than sinning.  

He also ignores the old and basic question of how much a society can tolerate intolerance.  Wanting to overthrow the current corrupt system doesn't equate with "desire for democracy."  

I still wish we knew more about the Muslim Imams in America.  There's an estimate that four fifths are Wahabbis.  Apart from any issues of sympathy with Bin Laden, how compatible is that mentality with this society?  I still can't get out of my head that here in Houston, the evening after the attacks, three hundred people were demonstrating against Salman Rushdie in front of the Alley Theatre, some calling for the reintroduction of the Fatwa.   Didn't the Muslim leadership here tell them that that's wrong?
