Winning the hearts and souls

This just in.

In a new effort to win the "hearts and souls" of the Afghan people, the US
this morning dropped 25 tons of beanie babies to help desperate children.
Sadly, many these were gathered and roasted by some of the Taliban soldiers
nearby.  One soldier is reputed to have said that "at last the infidels have
given us something to eat."

Bush is said to be entering discussions with Martha Stewart.
