Mike-- I agree with you somewhat--Travis is truly a larger than life
character. The afternoon he spent at my house in Palo alto ranks as the
"most creepy"--and also most memorable-- my wife and I have spent there in
the twelve years we've lived here. He is best in person-- his postings to
the list never measured up to his real world persona. Gerry, on the other
hand (when he wasn't pontificating about his political views, such as they
were), was a lively participant on the list,a sincere, vivid descriptive and
narrative writer, and I still miss his on-line presence. As for you,
Mike--I'm kinda glad I have never had the misfortune to make your live
acquaintance--your bizarre and hostile utterances on-line are quite enough
for me!
