Friends and Family,

Monday night in the full moon Brigit led us up to Sierra Quemado for a
little walk. We lit a candle there and that seemed to do the trick. Miriam's
little brother was born at home in Real de Catorce the next afternoon on
Tuesday, 2 October 2001, at 5:23 PM CST. Wahoo! He came in at 5 lb 12 oz,
and 18 1/2 inches.

Mama and baby are doing just fine under the expert care of our Texas
midwife, Natalie. The St. Francis fair is in full swing here. Thousands have
come to help us celebrate.

Ed, Brigit, Mimi, & Natalie
