Frankly, mon Cher, I lost interest in Marvel when they discontinued the
Silver Surfer & Dr. Strange.

Jack Kirby was a Comix God.

the friend who i visited in woodstock saturday is a "graphic novelist" who
has the story of david coming out w/vertigo press soon. saw the
illustrations--always good to have reading matter to withdraw into at kid's
bday parties when most grownups are setting up play dates. kyle baker is one
of my alltime faves. use of color and perspective is wonderful. if you
haven't seen his stuff, do. in the meantime will check out marvel.
