Randy Wayne used to have a column in OUTSIDE magazine and has also written a
lot
of great environmental/nature stuff.  (_BAT-FISHING IN THE RAIN FOREST_)

Some of you should be warned that both he and Hiaasen gore oxen where they
find them,
which can include warm-fuzzy tree-hugger types and new age loons.

The sensitive should be ware. <snarf>
