OK...look, I agree, Don Laird is being denied his right to speak....but only 
being denied his right to speak to us.  He can bother lots of other people 
in lots of other places, and his ideas will be heard. So he loses our little 
forum. Tuff darts.

I think we should replace him by getting e-mail account for Roky and giving 
him our collective address...weeellll maybe not.

But since Mike is our listmeister...it is kind of like having this ongoing 
assembly at his house.  He could serve better refreshments though. "Get off 
the coffeetable pinkboy, and hey, we don't know you anyway...go to the party 
down the stree." Slam!

Personally, I wouldn't have booted Don, but I can see Mike's point.  
However, if we didn't all think Mike has a small hidden agenda, then we 
could be more sympathetic to the ouster.  Of course it could have been 
worse, someone might have served Don a glass of kerosene and told him it was 
tequila. Ot maybe hit him with a pie or put a burning cigarette in his 
jacket pocket. (all things I remember happening to real people at the 
congenial ghetto. What a bunch of jokesters.

Personally I liked the list better when things happened like
Ed Guinn sending along the lyrics to Midnight Sun by Johnny Mercer, or we 
were writing our Barbie book.

This goddam war is certainly taking the fun out things.

And thank you Wayne/Bubba for your recent definition of sophistry, though I 
always thought it was something you covered a couch with. Lieuen would have 
liked that.
