Fw: Your message to Austin-ghetto-list awaits moderator approval

Don, I've tried everything I can do to get you back on-- Today was supposed
to be a deadline for some sort of new rules , so maybe your re-entry was
postponed due to this. Mike has refused to answer a single one of my
queries, and he is really free to do whatever he wants as listmaster, as he
has exclusive control over these matters (it's really technically "his list"
as pair.com, some obscure ISP he swears by, is his personal service
provider).
Your status on this list is kind of like that of a recent immigrant who
came over on a leaky boat and is being held in detention in some limbo of a
detention center. And you have been heard making unpatriotic remarks! What
are your chances? I guess the big question I would have is, considering the
attitudes of hostility and scapegoating displayed by several of the
self-styled "core members" of this group, why would you want to be on the
list at all??? There are about 15 members of the list who support you, and
maybe the handful of "hard liners" (or the "master") will come around-- but
I can't guarantee anything! Some of these core members would love to get
rid of me, too, if truth be told, and have crafted procedures directly aimed
at me, such as making frequent postings they don't agree with grounds for
expulsion.
Jon
