Bill,
I'm guessing, but I fear Don has been pontificating for a long time to one
captive woman, and merely repeats that habit with us. I am reminded of one
time, back in the 70's when I was a member of a woman's rap group. One
evening we dicided to invite our significant others to a larger rap
group/party. During the big circle discussion one man, half way across the
room, responded to what one woman said with a vehement outburst. I, who had
arrived late and missed the introductions said, "Oh you must be Lucy's
husband." And then by way of explanation, added, "None of us would speak to
her in that tone of voice." It was a stunning moment of unvarnished truth
signaling the end of group speak and an explosion into the liveliest of
parties.
There, how's that for a substantive stroll down memory lane?
