Was Wali excluded?

I remember Wali took himself off the list temporarily, then Mike refused to
let him back on, then he was allowed, even encouraged to get back on but
Wali had decided it was time to move on to work more with the Green
movement, making his absence permanent. Before that, I remember Mike raving
a lot about how we should throw Wali off, because he had "spoofed" and
"flamed" Mike; in fact, Wali had even accused Mike of threatening him with
bodily harm (true or not I do not know-- but I remember the exchange
clearly). Wali, who, although a very erudite and funny guy, and an ally of
mine in early days of our list, was in fact about the most difficult member
we have ever had, and putting him on probation for "spoofing" (sending out
fake emails with other people's names on them) would have been appropriate.
But if we want to hear from the source on this bit of local history, why not
call Wali up? I think he still lives around Austin-- some of you probably
have his telephone or email address.Otherwise, you all are relying on rumor,
fading memories, etc.

Jon
