<P>Just say no-- of course, if they strap you up to the lie detector, then you're in trouble. However, a recent episode of&nbsp; the new chick-spy show "Alias" taught viewers how to condition yourself to lie effectively even when hooked up to those big electronic sensors. I'm sure they teach you all this stuff in Terrorism 101.</P>

<DIV></DIV>&gt;interesting piece in yesterday's Daily Texan. Mohamed Adlouni,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;an economics junior from Lebanon was interviewed by three
<DIV></DIV>&gt;(3) federal officials Tuesday. Adlouni said he was asked a
<DIV></DIV>&gt;series of questions including:
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Where were you born?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;What is your citizenship?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Where was your passport issued?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Have you ever visited Afghanistan?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Have you ever participated in a military armed conflict?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Do you have any information on Sept. 11?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Do you know anyone who acted in a strange way after they
<DIV></DIV>&gt;heard about Sept. 11?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Do you know anyone capable or willing to carry out an attack?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Do you know any plans for terrorism?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Do you know anyone who can make anthrax?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;How do you think terrorism can be prevented in the future?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Why do you think the United States was investigated?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Adlouni said "Even if you are a terrorist, why the hell are
<DIV></DIV>&gt;you going to say yes to any of these questions? It's like they
<DIV></DIV>&gt;wanted to find out a particular political view of mine, or see
<DIV></DIV>&gt;if I got nervous, because one guy asked my questions, a second
<DIV></DIV>&gt;guy wrote down the answers, and the other guy just looked at me."
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Adlouni is naive to think that it is easy or even possible
<DIV></DIV>&gt;to lie successfully in such an interview.
