而10月18日周二当天有关国会辩论的电视报道，虽然五频道和八频道均在新闻时段中穿插了一两句陈硕茂的发言，但在新闻时段过后的15分钟中英文国会摘要里，播出了整十位部长议员发言，却对陈硕茂演说只字不提。这个现象，显得格外突兀而令人纳闷。
