We now offer extremely detailed rate information for direct dial calls from the U.S. to 292 different countries and regions - by far the most comprehensive international rates coverage available on the web. Highlighted per minute rates which are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (including carrier specific surcharges such as USF which other sites do not report when quoting rates) include: Australia 4.36, Belgium 4.25, Germany 4.25, Hong Kong 3.71, Ireland 4.47, Israel 5.56, Japan (Tokyo) 5.24, Korea 6.55, Philippines 15.33, Russia (Moscow) 3.6, Singapore 3.82, South Africa 11.98, Thailand (Bangkok) 7.96, and the United Kingdom 3.18. In numerous markets lower rates are also now available for evening and weekend calls. Check the countries you call for the best rates for your calling patterns. The long distance market is really being segmented into informed and non-informed consumers. Those consumers that are informed are regularly facing reduced rate structures, while those that remain non-informed are experiencing regular rate increases on their rate plans in the form of new fees, higher monthly minimums, large monthly recurring charges, and increased carrier specific surcharges. Some discounted carriers have now started to offer plans that discount calls even further during the off-peak hours of night and weekends. These types of plans are well suited to people that make most of their calls during the off-peak times. These discounts are particularly well suited to callers that make a lot of intrastate calls (long distance within your own state) during off-peak hours in states that traditionally have high intrastate rates.
